Newsworthy is an attempt to transform the official news monologue into a community dialogue. Contemporary society is experiencing an information overload from official news sources. Interactive media provide numerous ways for people to express their opinions, but what if that commentary could be expanded on an enormous scale, making everyone really see the voices of the people around them, in real time?
Newsworthy gives members of the Hyde Park community, visitors to the Hyde Park Art Center and the general public the chance to have a visual voice and express, in a unique way, what's on their minds.
Be a part of this exhibit. Consoles will be available at the Hyde Park Art Center during the run of the exhibit for you to submit your comments. Or you can submit your comments on this website from March 8-March 23, 2008, and they will be broadcast on the Hyde Park Art Center video facade.
